NoneL’institut du Thorax, Nantes University, CNRS, INSERM, France
Antoine Rimbert obtained his PhD in genetics of cardiovascular diseases from the University of Nantes (France) in 2015. He then joined Professor Jan Albert Kuivenhoven’s laboratory at the University of Groningen (The Netherlands) as a postdoctoral researcher. There, he focused on identifying genetic determinants of dyslipidemia and translating these findings into functional insights using both in vitro and in vivo models. Subsequently, he was appointed to a position at the Centre National de la Recherche Scientifique (CNRS) in Nantes (France), where he currently conducts his research at the institut du thorax.
His work integrates genetics, epigenetics, and functional genomics to identify novel genes and biological mechanisms involved in lipoprotein metabolism and cardiometabolic diseases. Specializing in familial and population-based genetic studies, he particularly focuses on non-coding regions associated with circulating lipid concentrations and cardiometabolic diseases. His interdisciplinary approach combines genetics, bioinformatics, and functional investigations in advanced in vitro and in vivo models
