The Triglyceride Education and Research Forum (Triglyceride Forum) is a unique, independent, not-for-profit, expert-led global initiative to address the rapidly evolving field of triglycerides and triglyceride-rich lipoproteins in cardiovascular disease and pancreatitis. This Forum will provide clinicians and researchers with international, open access, peer-reviewed resources at an important time when new and innovative molecules are at advanced stages of development.
The Forum brings together internationally-recognised experts from the scientific and clinical communities who are committed to developing awareness, knowledge and understanding of the importance of triglycerides when cardiovascular disease (CVD) is the primary cause of death and disability worldwide.
These experts will:
- Share new information from basic research and clinical studies
- Exchange opinions and ideas interpreting these data and discuss the possible clinical consequences
- Stimulate further research to answer key questions
The Forum will provide the scientific and clinical community worldwide with freely-available, regularly updated educational resources translating knowledge into future care of patients. Accurate and accessible reviews and summaries will include the latest findings in the development of innovative therapeutics in this area. Such resources will have the potential to transform the prognosis of patients with elevated risk of CVD and of pancreatitis.
